Operation Black Moon
In the second volume of the NΛNOCHIP Series, Chavez heroically sacrifices himself in an effort to get into Bastion, a municipal testing facility. He finds himself in a no-win situation and has to enact extreme measures blocking his recent memory tied to the Cyberwarfare department and its activiities. Roman wants to know who Chavez is and what is his mission, so he sends in Li Ding one of the leaders in the Five Families crime coalition to deal with him. Will her covert spycraft be Chavez's demise before he can be rescued?
Ren and Layla reunite in the most toxic of ways. Hannibal's extreme and questionable moral code comes to the forefront causing significant injury to Layla and jeopardizes the cover of their entire covert organization. Only when a monumental cyberattack comes crashing down on the world's banking infrastructure, will the team come back together for the cause of the common good.
In the end, the fate of Chavez could be in the hands of Pudge, who grows into his own when called upon to find Chavez and bring him back home. They'll never see him coming. If they do, it will surely be his end. How far will he go to protect himself and others he incorporates into his operation? It's a small world... Li Ding
“I'm your doctor, Chavez. You can call me Li. I heard you like to keep things pretty informal.” Li smiles a cynical grin, waiting for him to reply.
Li Ding, the covert warrior, is trained just for this situation and is motivated to prove her worth to the Five Families. This will be her test to prove her family's great worth to their coalition and legitimize her leadership since taking over for her belated father.
Li knows her job is to keep his interest by pulling away some of the time and then leaning in with the subtlety only a seductress knows.

The room pauses waiting for Roman-AI to respond. Everything that transpired between Leroy and itself is all above Dr. Satoshi’s clearance level since Roman took over.
